School year 2017-18

A thinner year, 28 stories, with World and SUA Life carrying most of it. The fall issue opened the new art rooms, switched freshmen to fair trade uniforms and brought a Wall Street Journal reporter to campus to talk about the job. Several of the longest staff profiles date from here, including the teacher feature on Ms. Broo and her road into biology.

February 2018 was the Me Too winter. Stories on Time's Up, the Women's March downtown and Miss America's beauty standards ran in one issue, next to the history of scouting written after the Boy Scouts opened to girls, which Wikipedia now cites. The year closed with Remembering Columbine by Taking Action, written after the Parkland shooting, and a survey of more than 550 students on peer pressure.
