School year 2016-17

The 2016 to 2017 school year is the largest volume in the archive, 75 stories, and nearly half of them are about life at SUA. Construction set the tone. The White building was gone, the East Quad was new, the art classes left the FAB building and the plays moved off campus while St. Angela Hall was rebuilt.

Outside the walls, the fall issue covered the death of Harambe at the Cincinnati Zoo and the opening of the streetcar, and October carried two opposing election columns, for Clinton and for Trump, side by side. Some of the paper's best opinion writing is from this year too: My Grades Are Not My Identity ran in December. In January the staff listed 17 things to look forward to in 2017, from the Orange and White Game to prom, and the spring brought a Meet Me in St. Louis musical and a two-year check on the absence policy.
