School year 2015-16

The 2015 to 2016 volume has 51 stories and the widest spread of the decade, with World alone at 16. November opened with Adele, McDonald's all-day breakfast and the Cincinnati Zoo's rhino program, and then the December issue turned to Paris after the November 13 attacks and to the Syrian refugee crisis.

The election year started early, with a January list of campaign controversies and a February piece on Common Core. Spring was busy and mixed: the Chibok schoolgirls still missing two years on, a Shakespeare anniversary and the question of whether his skull was stolen, Mattel's new Barbies. One of the longest stories in the archive, High School Employment, ran this year, as did a reporter's account of 40 hours spent blindfolded to learn how blind people move through winter.
